Conclusions:
The CH and CRF measurements in eyes with corneal ectatic disorders are significantly lower when compared to eyes with normal corneas. Forme fruste keratoconus, a subtle ectatic condition, is often missed by topography. The biomechanical metrics CH and CRF may be complementary to topography data in identifying forme fruste keratoconus. Identifying quantifiable biomechanical differences between ectatic and normal corneas may prove useful for the refractive surgeon to improve the screening process.
