Purpose/Objective:
Ocular compression following peribulbar block is a common practice to improve anesthesia penetration and reduce retro-orbital pressure prior to cataract surgery. However, this technique also increases IOP and may reduce retinal and optic nerve perfusion. This study was designed to study the impact of routine ocular compression on RNFL thickness.
