About the Presenter:
I am Dr DD Verma,M.D. Director & chief eye surgeon at Dee D. Eye institute,Kota, in India, since 1993.
I did my Post graduation from one of the apex institutes of India,AIIMS New Delhi.
During my residency, I got the best resident award twice.
I am one of the pioneers of phaco surgery in India. I started phaco in year 1994, at present operate all cataract cases with phaco under topical anaesthesia with clear corneal temporal incision with foldable IOL’s. I implant 90% monofocal & 10% multifocalIOL’s.. I operate around 1200 cataract cases in a year.
I have presented Clinical studies & research papers in many national & international conferences.( In 2005 presented paper titled “Phaco in Posterior polar cataracts”at ESCRS conference at Lisbon & in 2007 presented paper Titled “ Modified wound hydration”at ASCRS conference at San diego USA ).
