Materials/Methods:
Implantable collamer lens is increasingly being used to correct refractive error not amenable to laser corneal surgery. Implantation is simple but needs a cautious approach. Sphincter tear occurred in one eye of a patient while haptics were being pushed behind the iris. The plate haptic pushed the pupillary margin upto the periphery and tore the sphincter pupillae muscle. The patient sufferred intractable scattering of light and diplopia. The iris suturing with polypropylene suture was done and a round pupil could be formed.
