Conclusions:
Both the AcrySof ReSTOR multifocal IOL and the AcrySof SA60AT monofocal IOL showed very good uncorrected distance vision. The former had better near vision results compared with the latter, but got worse results in the intermediate vision and in the quality of vision score. Humphrey perimetry testing showed peripheral depression in the multifocal group.
