Materials/Methods:
Forty eyes of 20 patients received the ReSTOR IOL after cataract surgery. They were closely paired in age, sex, and ocular findings with other 20 patients who had bilateral Acrysof SA60AT monofocal IOL implantation. Inclusion criteria were corneal astigmatism <1.0 diopter, visual acuity >20/25 and no associated ocular diseases. The distance, intermediate and near uncorrected and best corrected visual acuities were compared. Humphrey perimetry test was used in both groups. Patient satisfaction with their vision, visual symptoms and spectacle dependence was assessed using a standardized questionnaire.
